Minal Damani received her B.F.A (2000) and M.F.A (2002) in Painting at the Sir J.J School of Art, Mumbai, where she received the J.J. Teachers award in 2002. She has also received the AIFACS Award in 2001, the Camlin Award and the Meyo Memorial Award in 2000, and the S.B. Palshikar Award in 1999.
