Sulakshana Devidas Dharmadhikari
Birth Year: 1975
Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India
Sulakshana Dharmadhikari is a talented artist whose work revolves around the concept of nature's elements and forms. Drawing inspiration from her deep connection with the natural world, Sulakshana reflects on the transition from rural life—where people lived closely with nature—to the growing urbanization that often separates modern society from its natural roots. She believes that everything on Earth, including humans, is composed of the five fundamental elements, and her art captures this interconnectedness.
Her passion for painting was awakened during her engineering studies, where she realized that her true inclination lay in expressing the beauty of nature through art. This epiphany led her to focus on depicting various components of the natural world. Sulakshana is particularly fascinated by the vibrant colors and delicate forms of flowers, the elegance of wandering butterflies, and the intricate textures of leaves. Her medium of choice—oil on canvas—allows her to convey the softness and flexibility of these natural elements in a compelling way.
