Born in 1977 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Saravanan Senathipathi is a distinguished member of the Cholamandal Artists' Village community. Since 2006, he has served as the President of the Progressive Painters Association, and he is also an Executive Board Member of the Artists Handicraft Association, both based in Cholamandal Artists' Village, Chennai.
His artistic journey is marked by experimentation and innovation, particularly in his "Tribal Village" and "Dream" series, where he captures the essence of tribal life through expressive depictions of their living styles, appearances, and movements. In addition, his "Mythology" series showcases his expertise in metal relief (repoussé) work, alongside his paintings.
