V. Umashankar, his early career in the art field started after the completion of bachelor’s and master's degrees in painting. He started to create artwork on more figurative and conceptual work, but with a semi-abstraction, and always fascinated his landscape and perspectives of elevations, which always highlighted the backgrounds of the compositions. During his early studies and practices of fine art, he focused more on outdoor compositions and figure drawing. He has a fascination to work in watercolors and dry pastels, then slowly, medium-wise, then he started to switch over to oil and acrylics. The concept of works has always been upon a solitude journey of travel and the life happenings around my environment filled with emotions and feelings. Solitude journey always continues in his art process with vivid experimentations medium- and conceptual-wise at infinity.
